Moscow authorities want to connect private car DVRs to the urban video control system

Moscow car owners which vehicles are equipped by GLONASS DVRs will be able to participate in an experiment on the connection to the urban video control system, according to core publications.
“Private car DVRs will be connected voluntarily. The pilot project covers 40 DVRs equipped with a microphone for sound recording at a distance of 10 meters, IR lighting, having GPS or GLONASS. The image should be colored and transmitted at least 16 frames per second. DVRs also have to operate up to four hours without recharging, "- said in one of the messages.
According to the Moscow authorities’ expectations, the devices will help to control legal order in the city and as well their data will be useful during special-forces raids.
