The representative of General Designer of user’s equipment has told about the benefits of using multi-system equipment
“Multisystem equipment allows avoid dependence from the single provider of global satellite navigation system and in addition to increase equipment protection from interferences” said Alexey Muraviev, the representative of General Designer of user’s equipment during the Conference “Development of international cooperation and application of global navigation systems solutions for improvement of transport and cargo security” which was held in the framework of the International Forum “Security and safety technologies”.

During the presentation, Alexey Muraviev has listed problems encountered by using single-system equipment: dependence of GNSS provider, susceptibility to intentional and unintentional interferences, restriction of operation in inaccessible regions, inability to provide required level of accuracy by using only one system.

One of ways for solving these problems is application of multisystem equipment. In addition, by using such equipment increases the stability of the signal, integrity, reliability and accuracy of PNT, increases interference immunity and reducing influence of political factors, occurs the possibility of application high-precision navigation.

Herewith he underlined that neither financially nor technically, there are no difficulties in producing multi-system equipment in comparison with single-system.
