GLONASSARY

GSM (Global System for Mobile communications) – This term refers to a worldwide cellular protocol which was originally developed for voice transmissions. A cellular device that utilizes GSM often has a range limit of around 23 miles from device to a cellular tower. A device that utilizes GSM will often require a SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) card. Cellular carriers such as T-Mobile™ and AT&T Mobility™ utilize this cellular communication protocol.
