The President signed an agreement with Cuba on satellite navigation
Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed the law on ratification of the intergovernmental agreement on cooperation with Cuba in research and peaceful use of outer space.

The agreement was signed on February 21, 2013 in Havana (Cuba) and is aimed to create institutional and legal platform for the formation and further development of cooperation programs between Russia and Cuba on satellite communications, broadcasting and satellite navigation.

Cooperation will affect the spheres of space geodesy and meteorology, remote sensing of the Earth from space.

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has announced about the creation of Unified Register for inspection of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs. According to him, such a Register will allow to reduce the number of unreasonable inspections for business. “We have repeatedly claimed that this mechanism should be most simple and clear” recalled Dmitry Medvedev.

Top Iranian official to talk high-tech cooperation with Russia in October
Iran’s Vice President Sorena Sattari is due to arrive in Moscow in October to discuss bilateral cooperation with Russia in the sphere of high technologies, the Iranian ambassador to Russia said on Tuesday. The meeting is planned between the vice president for science and technologies, Sattari, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin,” Ambassador Mehdi Sanai said. Iran has earlier shown interest in launching spacecraft using Russian carrier rockets, while Russia is seeking to deploy the GLONASS global positioning system in Iran. President of Iran Hassan Rouhani paid his first two-day visit to Russia on Sunday, during which he took part in the 4th summit of the Caspian littoral states and met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

After viewing the display stand ,Sergey Ivanov familiarized himself with the work of air traffic controllers.Sergey Ivanov, Head of Russia's Presidential Administration, has arrived at Iturup Island and toured an airport that opened on September 22. Ivanov was shown a display stand with photographs illustrating the process of building the air harbour. He was told that the process had begun in 2007 when a decision had been made to build an airport.

Europe’s EGNOS augmentation system sharpens the accuracy and reliability of GPS signals so they can safely be used for landing approaches across a growing number of European airports. But aviation is a global enterprise — so the aim is to develop a seamless network of augmentation systems in future. That is the task of an international group of experts, the Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS) Interoperability Working Group (IWG), whose 27th  meeting took place in Tampa, Florida, September 8-10, hosted by the Institute of Navigation.
